Privacy Policy

The short version: FreezyPicks is free and ad-supported. We collect as little as possible, we never sell your personal information, and the only thing we ever ask you for is an email address — and only if you choose to create a free account. You can unsubscribe or ask us to delete your data at any time.

What we collect

• Email address — only if you create a free account or sign up for our newsletter. We use it to send the picks, results, and alerts you asked for, and nothing else.
• Preferences stored in your browser — the teams you follow, dismissed notices, and similar settings live in your browser's local storage. They stay on your device and are not sent to us unless you have an account that syncs them.
• Standard server logs — like virtually every website, our host records basic request data (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and reliability. These logs are kept briefly and not used to identify you.
• Advertising and analytics cookies — set by our third-party partners (see below) to show ads and measure traffic.

What we do not do

• We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Ever.
• We do not require an account to read picks, props, the track record, or any of our content. The account only unlocks personalization and the newsletter.
• We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 21. This is a 21+ site about sports betting and is not directed to children.

Third-party services

We rely on a few service providers, each with its own privacy policy:

• Google AdSense serves the ads that keep the site free and may use cookies to show relevant ads. You can control ad personalization in your Google Ads settings.
• Our email provider stores your address to deliver the newsletter you signed up for.
• Our hosting provider runs the servers that deliver the site.

We do not control how these companies use data collected through their own cookies; review their policies for details.

Cookies

Cookies are small files a site stores in your browser. We and our ad partner use them to keep the site working, remember your choices, show ads, and measure traffic. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some features (like staying signed in) may not work if you do. Our cookie notice appears on your first visit.

Your choices and rights

• Unsubscribe from any email using the link in the footer of that email.
• Access or delete the personal data we hold (your email) by contacting us.
• California residents (CCPA/CPRA): you have the right to know, delete, and opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell or share your personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of — but you may still exercise your access and deletion rights.
• EU/UK residents (GDPR): you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, and objection. Where we process data, our basis is your consent (which you can withdraw) or our legitimate interest in running the site.

Changes

We may update this policy as the site grows. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the current version.
